Jeff McMahon, CEO & Robert Naughton, Chief Revenue OfficeIn an interview with CIO Applications, Voicify CEO Jeff McMahon, CSO Jason Fields, and CTO Nick Laidlaw take us through the company’s value proposition and the journey starting from its inception to its rapid strides the company has made on its path to success.
What led to Voicify’s founding? Can you provide a quick overview of the journey?
It all began fifteen years ago when we were working in a digital agency together. At the agency, we were helping big brands with their websites, mobile applications, integrations, and creating rich customer experiences. During this period, we witnessed the true potential in the power of chatbots, and saw voice assistants as the next big thing. Grabbing on this opportunity, we decided to create a platform that would allow brands to more quickly and easily deploy conversational experiences or voice assistants. That is how Voicify came into being.
Could you please elaborate on the Voicify platform? How does it help clients achieve enhanced voice experiences?
Voicify’s SaaS-based Conversation Experience Platform is built specifically for marketers and brands to create engaging conversation-based applications and manage voice experiences, including text to voice readouts, audio, video, and image assets that are stored in Voicify or other platforms such as CMS, CRM, PIM, and VDN. The platform is designed to offer brands and organizations the ability to deploy feature-rich voice apps and intelligent chatbots quickly while providing the flexibility of unlimited customization.
Jason Fields, CSO & Nick Laidlaw, CTOCould you please share a case study explaining how Voicify helps clients to overcome their business challenges and attain desired outcomes?
A global spirit conglomerate came to us wanting to create voice experiences for their portfolio. What they found was a creation and deployment issue. They believed they needed to choose a single voice assistant and roll out brand by brand. Quickly evaluating Voicify they realized and are now building a single voice experience to be deployed to all assistants and for a wider group of their brands at once.
An athletic and lifestyle shoe brand wanted to address two primary goals: begin defense on voice SEO and add an additional customer support channel. They were concerned ongoing management of voice apps for 16+ brands across three major assistants (48 apps) would overwhelm the team and reduce the efficacy of the channels. With Voicify they will be managing 16 central apps with three plus endpoints for each, obtaining voice SEO defense as well as reducing call center traffic with channel shift and increasing customer satisfaction.
What does the roadmap hold for Voicify in the next 12-18 months in terms of your offerings?
We are on the cusp of releasing Voicify 2.0 which brings even more formal integrations and a new UI our customers helped us create.
In the wake of the global pandemic we are also shifting our teams’ focus to supporting and activating voice and chat applications that support brands employees (think Microsoft Teamsbot, and Slackbots) and health and human services organizations. Additionally, with so many businesses forced to close their doors and essentially remove their in-person customer support, we are working with clients and prospects to create customer service experiences that can be accessed via Amazon or Google Assistants in the safety and comfort of the end customer’s home. We are offering licenses at steeply discounted rates to empower companies to support not just their customers and employees but humanity on the whole.
